With thanks to Peter Vernon Paget Mellor, Great, Great Grandson of Charles & Ellen for permission to publish the Paget family photographs and for supplying the following ancestry information concerning Charles and Ellen's two daughters.

Caroline (pictured above) was born on 17th June 1837. She married The Rt Hon  John William Mellor at  Ruddington on 27 Sept 1860. They had 9 children including John Paget Mellor (1862-1929) and Wilfrid Paget Mellor (1865-1948) Caroline died in April 16 1900 at Culmhead, Somerset (the Mellor country home) aged 62. In the churchyard at Churchstanton nr. Culmhead the gravestone reads

      “In loving memory of the Right Hon John William Mellor PC KC of
      Culmhead Pitminster, born July 26 1835 died Oct 13 1911 and of his beloved
      wife Caroline daughter of Charles Paget of Ruddington Grange Notts who
      died April 16 1900 in her 63rd year.

John William Mellor MP, at one time Deputy Speaker in the Commons, is the Great Grandfather of Peter Vernon Paget Mellor.

The second daughter was Ellen (1842-1880) who married firstly in 1861 to Oliver Paget her cousin and secondly in 1867 to Alfred Mellor J.P. (1842-1931) . They had 6 daughters.

The Paget family connection is carried on by Peter’s two sons – John Frederick Paget Mellor (born 1988) and Edward Daniel Paget Mellor (born 1992).
